Most of my patterns fall in the intermediate to advanced range. They often use many small pieces to achieve the level of detail you see in the finished design. That said, once you get the hang of foundation paper piecing, even detailed patterns like these are absolutely doable. I’ve had many confident beginners successfully complete my patterns; patience and persistent (and occasionally a seam ripper) go a long way 😉
Yes. All of my patterns assume a basic understanding of foundation paper piecing techniques. If you’re new to FPP, I recommend spending a little time with a tutorial or two before diving in. There are lots of great resources available. These are a couple I recommend:
• Quiet Play Designs: Foundation Paper Piecing Tutorial (https://quietplaydesigns.com/blogs/blog/how-to-foundation-paper-piece?srsltid=AfmBOopQCT8meC2lhEESr50AzRrXwTL6XXghONLtRu0w6wYi5mPj2U5H)
• Julius Handmade: FPP 101 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ThVfNdHMDg)
Once you've watched a tutorial, my free patterns (https://www.quiltbynight.com/free-patterns)make for great FPP practice blocks!
I’m truly flattered you’d want me to design something just for you. At this time, I’m not able to accept custom orders or pattern commissions.
I don’t sell finished quilts, but I’d love to see what you make with my patterns. Seeing your versions come to life is one of my favorite parts of designing!
