Hope is the thing with feathers

Inspired and named for Emily Dickinson’s poem, 'Hope is the thing with feathers' illustrates the concept of hope emerging, radiating, and pushing back the darkness. I chose vibrant, warm colors in both piecing and quilting to capture its brightness and warmth, setting it against a background of darkness. This contrast allows the darkness to recede, while hope takes center stage, spreading, glowing, and reminding me of its quiet resilience even in the heaviest of times.
