This sew along has been truly inspiring, and I am so impressed by your creativity, advocacy, and the incredible sense of community you brought to this project.
I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating. When I first came up with the idea for this sew along, my dream was to flood Instagram with images of protest quilts. I never imagined just how far that dream would reach. I am completely blown away—and so deeply grateful—for each and every one of you.
We had over 300 quilters from at least 30 U.S. states and 7 countries participate. Your quilts and messages have reached thousands of people. That is powerful. You are incredible.
Impact:
Because of your support, we are also able to make a meaningful contribution to several non-profit organizations. Here’s where the proceeds from In Protest are going:
• $1,000 divided among our five prize winners to support the non-profit organizations of their choice (I’ll be reaching out to the winners tonight!)
• $1,000 to Immigrant Law Center of MN to support immigrant and refugee communities in Minnesota and beyond
• $1,000 to the ACLU to support defending the rights of all people nationwide
• $500 each to Planned Parenthood and Repro TLC to support access to and training for comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare
• $1,000 to Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank to support individuals and families in my local community experiencing food insecurity

I hope you enjoyed this sew along as much as I did, and that you’re feeling supported and inspired to continue speaking out, creating, and giving back. If you are still working on your protest quilt, keep it up! If you are enjoying your chat group, keep chatting.
Thank you again for being part of this community and this movement.
With gratitude,
Becky
